A developer wanting to use a new Web API must first understand it from a JavaScript perspective, then translate it into the types and APIs that are available in their source language. In JavaScript, the natural primitive for "a sequence of things that arrive over time" is already in the language: the async iterable. You consume it with for await...of. You stop consuming by stopping iteration.
